The Women’s National Book Association – San Francisco Chapter invites you to Benefit-a-Palooza on March 19 at 12pm PT, an event designed to introduce members and prospective members to the many ways WNBA can support your writing and publishing journey. As part of the national WNBA organization, our chapter is one of many across the country that builds connection and opportunity for women in all areas of the book world. Benefit-a-palooza is a chance to learn more about what membership offers in this chapter and nationally.
Hosted by Chapter President Brenda Knight and Networking Ambassador Debra Eckerling, this session will highlight the benefits of being part of our community, including opportunities to be interviewed on our blog, contribute to guest posts, and speaking on panels. We offer virtual Lunch N Learns at least twice a month; these are great for networking, community, as well as publishing education, as well as participation in local conferences and events. The San Francisco chapter is also home to virtual Pitch-o-Rama, an annual event where writers can pitch to agents and publishers – we have had many success stories come out of POR!
We’ll also cover ways to get more involved in shaping the chapter through board and volunteer opportunities, and how active engagement can expand your visibility within the literary community. Whether you’re new to WNBA or looking to deepen your involvement, Benefit-a-palooza offers a clear overview of how the San Francisco chapter — in partnership with the national organization — supports its members first and foremost as a community.
