Women, Wine and Books: 2017 Spring Mixer Urban Tavern Table 2

Kate writes: “WNBA-SF Chapter Spring Mixer at Urban Tavern (San Francisco’s Hilton Union Square) on March 16 was a dynamic success! Thanks to our hostess, KJ Landis, who reserved the POWER table for our group of creative, engaged, and connected book women: the long, redwood table was festooned with ribbon and charms, seeds, greeting cards, and pastel colored pens. Once we gathered, our exchange of ideas and business cards was loud and immediate.”

KJ writes: “Seventeen people defied the rain and attended the event, ready for communication, connection and community. I set the table with seed packets and ribbons, colored markers and cards set upright so participants could take notes about each others’ work. Laughter and respect abounded. Some people ordered food, everybody had a drink, and one male joined us to be surrounded by intelligent women who love the power of words.

“We decided we need more of these mixers. To mix and mingle with the Sisters of WNBA is an important part of being a member. This makes us want to continue coming to other events (because we are more connected now).”

Great event and would love to see more like this. Thank you to KJ and Kate! By the way, my basil seeds went in the ground last weekend. :-)

It was our pleasure! I know both KJ and I enjoyed the evening with such high energy and engagement. So glad to meet you and to be part of a power group of literary women.
