The WNBA: Connecting, educating, advocating and leading in the literary community since 1917!

The Women’s National Book Association was established in 1917 and celebrated the organization’s centennial in 2017 with a series of literary events nationwide, a publication celebrating the history of women in the world of books, a list of 100 essential books by women authors, and a grant to a non-profit literacy organization.

Sunday, December 16: WNBA-SF Holiday Showcase Book Passage Corte Madera Please join us for a celebration of 50 years of women in the world of books with member authors of the San Francisco Chapter of the WNBA. 

Sunday, January 13: Celebrate the New Year at the WNBA-SF Holiday Mixer Join WNBA-SF members and friends for a WNBA-SF New Year’s Inspiration Celebration. This year our annual holiday celebration will be held in a private home in the East Bay, and will feature rotating readings from our members, along with the usual food, drink, lively company and this year we’ll have a DJ to entertain us.

Saturday, March 23, 2019: PITCH-O-RAMA 2019! Women’s Building Auditorium Pitch-O-Rama delivers the 4 Ps that lead to publication…POLISH – Polish your pitch with our pre-pitch coaches; PITCH – We’ve assembled top agents and publishers for all genres; PROMOTE – Power up with social media; PARTICIPATE in a Q&A Panel.
