I really enjoyed talking with Rachael Herron, our guest for the National Reading Group Month at Kepler’s in Menlo Park, CA October 16—1-3 PM. In the interview, Rachael discusses her writing life—how she draws from “real life” to write her memoir A Life in Stitches, and how she became inspired to write her novels about knitting and romance. She will read from her new novel Wishes and Stitches at the event.

Delightful interview! Linda Joy Myers asks sweet questions and Rachael Herron is a joy. I was engaged when she said that even at a young age, when she was reading, she was intrigued that someone had to make a book; and she wanted to do that herself. I look forward to reading her novels and memoir and getting inspirations from her narrator’s voice and the art of knitting.
