WNBA-SF Chapter Blog launch!

By wnba-sfchapter

I am very pleased to write the first post of our new blog.

My name is Linda Lee.
It was just one year ago that I joined the WNBA-SF chapter.
Since then it has been a fun filled, whirlwind of events and activities.
Being a part of the Women’s National Book Association has been a life changing
experience for me.
I have found members of the WNBA are generous with their time , advice and in sharing their experience with others.
I used to leave the San Francisco Writers Conference and wonder how I could keep that great feeling and optimism and determination going for the rest of the year.
By joining the WNBA-SF chapter, I found what I was looking for and it has been fun and easy.
I took a board position at my very first meeting and now I am Co-President with Mary E. Knippel.
This has been a wonderful experience for me.
I would like to encourage any of you who are considering getting involved to please contact us.
We have several positions open right now and it is such a great way to connect with other members.

I also am the WNBA web designer and webmaster, so I will be posting your articles and asking you to help
contribute to this blog.
The board and I wanted to start this blog and utilize all the amazing and talented members that we have.
We look forward to hearing from you and we will be asking all of you to send something you have written that you would like to have posted.

This is also a great place to talk about upcoming events that serve and benefit all of us– like the San Francisco Writing for Change Conference.
Longtime WNBA-SF chapter members Michael Larson and Elizabeth Pomada are the founders of this wonderful event.

Keep Smiling!

Hi Linda,

Enjoyed your enthusiasm in the first post on the new blog.

Your fact & fun filled presentation at the SFWC for Change this past week end gave me much food for thought – should I say, overwhelmed me? Thankfully, you have offered your services & come to my rescue to help me build a much needed web platform for TellTale Souls.

Thanks, also, for your encouragement and positive attitude,

Lynn
